Week 5 wrap up

The wrap up is a bit late as I needed to recover from the full day GameDay experience.

Since some teams are already in a deep hole, we've already started the "Just start winning" category.


ACC
Coastal
Controls destiny:
GT (2-0) has tiebreakers over Pitt and UNC.
Miami (1-0) has a tiebreaker over Duke.
VT (0-1) has a cross divisional loss.
UVA (0-0) has yet to start conference play.

Needs help:
Duke (1-1) needs two Miami losses, but has a tiebreaker over UNC.
Pitt (0-1) needs two GT losses.

Just start winning:
UNC (0-3) lost to Duke and GT.

Atlantic
Controls destiny:
Clemson (3-0) has tiebreakers over Louisville and BC.
NC State (2-0) has tiebreakers over FSU and Syracuse.

Needs help:
Louisville (1-1) needs two Clemson losses.
Florida State (1-1) needs two NC State losses but has a tiebreaker over WF.
Wake Forest (0-1) needs an FSU loss.
Syracuse (0-1) needs two NC State losses.
Boston College (0-1) needs two Clemson losses.

East

Florida (3-0) has tiebreakers over Tennessee, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt.
Georgia (2-0) has a tiebreaker over Tennessee.

Needs help:
Kentucky (1-1) needs two Florida losses, but has a tiebreaker over South Carolina.
South Carolina (1-2) needs 2 Kentucky losses, two extra Florida losses, and an extra Georgia loss, but has a tiebreaker over Missouri.

Missouri (0-2) lost to USCe.
Tennessee (0-2) lost to Florida and Georgia
Vanderbilt (0-2) lost to Florida.

West
Controls destiny:
Alabama (2-0) has a tiebreaker over Ole Miss.

LSU (0-1) lost to Mississippi State, who is currently behind them in the standings.

Needs help:
Arkansas (0-1) needs two Texas A&M losses.
Mississippi State (1-2) needs two Auburn losses, plus extra losses by Alabama and Texas A&M.  They have a tiebreaker over LSU.

Out of contention:
Ole Miss (got caught cheating)

Florida successfully defended the Championship of Life, and will defend it next week against LSU.

East

Ohio State (2-0) has tiebreakers over Indiana and Rutgers.
Penn State (2-0) has a tiebreaker over Indiana.
Michigan (1-0) has a cross-divisional win.

Since the Big 12 is just taking the top two teams for their championship, determining contention is a bit different in this conference.  We'll probably adjust the categories in the next week or two as the top teams start separating themselves.
