Divisionless championships

One of the reasons I liked divisions within conferences is that it guaranteed that every team in the conference had played at least one of the two teams in the championship game.

In this era of divisionless conferences and conferences twice as large as a yearly schedule can accommodate, are we still getting that kind of representation?

ACC
SMU vs. Clemson

Five schools played both teams - FSU, Louisville, Stanford, uva, Pitt
Six more played one of the two - Duke, Boston College, Cal, NC State, Wake Forest, VT

Four teams did not play either team in the ACCCG - Miami, Syracuse, GT, and UNC.

Total representation - 13/17 = 76.4%

SEC
Texas vs. Georgia

Two schools played both teams - Mississippi State, Florida
Nine schools played one of the two - Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Kentucky, Texas A&M

Three teams did not play either team in the SEC title game - South Carolina, LSU, Missouri

If Georgia and Texas had not played in the regular season, up to two more schools could have been represented.

Total representation - 13/16 = 81.25%

Big Ten
Oregon vs. Penn State

Seven schools played both teams - Illinois, UCLA, Ohio State, Washington, Purdue, Maryland, Wisconsin
Four more played one of the two - Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, USC

Five teams did not play either team in the Big Ten championship - Indiana, Iowa, Rutgers, Nebraska, Northwestern

Total representation - 13/18 = 72.2%

Big 12
Arizona State vs. Iowa State

Six schools played both teams - Texas Tech, Kansas, Utah, Cincinnati, UCF, Kansas State
Six schools played one of the two - Oklahoma State, BYU, Arizona, Houston, Baylor, WVU

Two teams did not play either team in the Big 12 championship game - Colorado, TCU

Total representation - 14/16 = 87.5%

Pac-2
Oregon State vs. Washington State

No schools in the conference played both teams
Two schools played one of the two - Oregon State, Washington State

Total representation - 2/2 = 100%
