2024 Week 11 wrap up

We're coming down to a crazy finish.  Some teams are making this wrap-up a little too difficult by not going quietly into that good night.

Remember, everything here is conference record only.

ACC
Controls destiny:
SMU (5-0)
W:  FSU, Louisville, Stanford, Duke, Pitt

Needs help:
Clemson (6-1)
W:  NC State, Stanford, FSU, Wake Forest, uva, VT
   L:  Louisville

Miami (5-1)
W:  VT, Cal, Louisville, FSU, Duke
   L:  GT

Pitt (3-2)
   W:  UNC, Cal, Syracuse
   L:  SMU, uva

Louisville (4-2)
   W:  GT, uva, BC, Clemson
   L:  SMU, Miami

Out of contention for #1 seed:
GT (4-3)
   W:  FSU, Duke, UNC, Miami
   L:  Syracuse, Louisville, VT

Syracuse (3-3)
   W:  GT, NC State, VT
   L:  Stanford, Pitt, BC

Virginia Tech (3-3)
   W:  Stanford, BC, GT
   L:  Miami, Syracuse, Clemson

Duke (3-3)
   W:  UNC, FSU, NC State
   L:  GT, SMU, Miami

uva (3-3)
   W:  WF, BC, Pitt
   L:  Louisville, Clemson, UNC

Wake Forest (2-3)
   W:  NC State, Stanford
   L:  uva, Clemson, Cal
UNC (2-3)
   W:  uva, FSU
   L:  Duke, Pitt, GT
BC (2-3)
   W:  FSU, Syracuse
   L:  uva, VT, Louisville

If SMU wins next week, that would give the ACC 2 teams with 6 wins.  (Clemson already has 6 and Miami is on a bye.)  Any of the three loss teams are completely out of contention with a loss OR a win by SMU.

The 2-loss teams will lose the chance of being the #1 seed with a loss OR a win by SMU or Clemson.  (Both teams already lost to SMU, putting them on the wrong side of head-to-head tiebreakers.)  They will be completely eliminated with a loss AND a win by SMU.

Out of contention:
NC State (2-4)
FSU (1-7)
Stanford (1-5)
Cal (1-4)

SEC
Texas A&M (5-1)
W:  Florida, Arkansas, Missouri, Miss St, LSU
   L:  South Carolina

Tennessee (5-1)
W:  Oklahoma, Florida, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi State
   L:  Arkansas

Texas (4-1)

Ole Miss (4-2)
   W:  SC, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Georgia
   L:  Kentucky, LSU
LSU (3-2)
   W:  SC, Ole Miss, Arkansas
   L:  Texas A&M, Alabama
Missouri (3-2)
   W:  Vandy, Auburn, Oklahoma
   L:  Texas A&M, Alabama

Out of contention for #1 seed:
South Carolina (4-3)
W:  Kentucky, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt

   W:  Auburn, Tennessee, Mississippi State
L:  Texas A&M, LSU, Ole Miss

Vanderbilt (3-3)
   W:  Alabama, Kentucky, Auburn
   L:  Missouri, Texas, South Carolina

With Georgia and Tennessee facing off next week, we are guaranteed to have one team reach 6 wins.  That means that any 3-loss team is unable to reach the #1 seed. Current 3-loss teams will be completely eliminated with a loss, while current 2-loss teams will drop out of contention for the #1 seed.

Out of contention:
Florida (2-4)
Oklahoma (1-5)
Auburn (1-5)
Kentucky (1-6)
Mississippi State (0-6)
