ACC-SEC Challenge 2016 outcome

I can't believe I forgot about this business from the season until now.  We entered the season with 9 ACC vs. SEC games scheduled.


September 3
Georgia vs. North Carolina (Chick-fil-a Kickoff)
Clemson at Auburn

The conferences split the first day, 1-1.

September 5
Ole Miss vs. Florida State (in Orlando)

By the end of the first weekend, the ACC took a 2-1 lead.

September 10
Virginia Tech vs. Tennessee (Battle of Bristol)

However, the Hokies fumbled it away to drop back to 2-2.

September 17
Vanderbilt at Georgia Tech

But, the ACC took a 3-2 lead through the bulk of the season.

November 28
Kentucky at Louisville
South Carolina at Clemson
Georgia at Georgia Tech
Florida at Florida State

The ACC dominated rivalry weekend to claim victory in the regular season, 6-3.

Bowl games
NC State vs. Vanderbilt (Independence)
Virginia Tech vs. Arkansas (Belk)
Louisville vs. LSU (Citrus)
Georgia Tech vs. Kentucky (Taxslayer)
Clemson vs. Alabama (national championship)

Plus, the ACC dominated almost everyone in the bowl season, adding a 4-1 record against the SEC.

2016 winner:
ACC, 10-4
