2023 Week 4 wrap up

A third of the season in the books, and we're just scratching the surface.

But we can claim Washington State as the champion of the Pac-2 as they defeated their only remaining conference member, 38-35.

Drive for 325:  The Iowa offensive coordinator had an amendment added to his contract which basically says he needs to average 25 points per game and win at least 7 games in order to gain another extension.  Since 7 wins would mean a bowl game, there is an expectation that Iowa will play in at least 13 games this season -- so 13 x 25 = 325.

After 4 games:
Total points / Benchmark: 85 / 100
Points per game:  21.25

(The benchmark number is how many total points Iowa should have scored to stay on pace.)

Ironically, Iowa was above the average after their third game (28.3 points), but quickly lost that cushion when they neglected to score a single point in their fourth game.
