The Mega Conference Realignment of 2010-2015 was largely caused by the Big East, although the transformation of the Pac-10 to the Pac-12 was the move that sparked it all. This is only dealing with football conference affiliations. This is not to be confused with the Great Conference Realignment of 2004-2005 caused by the ACC and Big East.
Anything from 2012 on should still be considered tentative and subject to change at a moment's notice. I'm pretty confident about 2010-2011. I don't think those will change.

1MW-USA is the shorthand I have chosen for the Mountain West/C-USA merger.
2Pitt and Syracuse might still be in the Big East in 2013.
3TCU did spend a few months committed to joining the Big East before switching to the Big 12.
Twenty-one teams changing conferences, with one of them changing twice. (Well, 2 if you count TCU. And I'm not counting the poor teams that joined the MW just in time for the bottom to fall out and force a merger with C-USA.)
The only conference not affected by realignment is the Sun Belt, although it will gaining teams that are getting promoted to the FBS.
When the 2013 season starts, are any of us going to recognize the college football landscape?
Of course, all of this would be minimized if college football would just give us a playoff system. If all conference champs got into the playoffs, then it wouldn't matter what conference you were in, you'd still have a shot at the title.
