Week 2 wrap up

After the "Greatest Opening Weekend Ever", we were left with the flip side with only a few major matchups.  We also only have two of the power 5 conferences that actually have conference games.  Interestingly enough, the two conferences with the fewest conference games are the ones that start their conference schedules sooner.

ACC
Atlantic
Louisville (1-0) has a tiebreaker over Syracuse.
Wake Forest (1-0) just has a cross-divisional win.
Boston College (0-1) only has a cross-divisional loss.
Clemson, FSU, and NC State have yet to play in conference.
Syracuse (0-1) needs 2 Louisville losses.

Coastal
Georgia Tech (1-0) has a cross-divisional win.
Duke (0-1) has a cross-divisional loss.
No one else has played in conference yet.

Another new feature I'm going to keep track of is the Atlantic vs. Coastal.  Many people try to say the Coastal is the weaker division.  However, in my observations, it appears that most of the Coastal teams are about even.  In the Atlantic, FSU and Clemson are head and shoulders above the rest of the entire conference, and Louisville looks like it might be a contender this year.  However, the rest of the division is weak, and I would say weaker than all of the Coastal (except UVA).  In an effort to get some hard data, I will be keeping track of the 14 cross divisional matchups during the season.  So far, the two divisions are tied at 1-1.

SEC
East
Florida (1-0) has a tiebreaker over Kentucky.
South Carolina (1-1) has a tiebreaker over Vanderbilt.  Their loss is cross-divisional.
Vanderbilt (0-1) needs a SC loss.
Kentucky (0-1) needs two Florida losses.

West
Mississippi State (1-0) has a cross-divisional win.
No one else has played in conference yet.

Everyone in the Big 12, B1G, and Pac-12 is still 0-0 in conference play.
