Power has definitely shifted to the state of Mississippi. I'm sorry for doubting them. At least CBS got back on track with the right poll, but I'm sure that only lasts as long as the AP has better SEC rankings than the coaches.
East
Controls destiny:
-Georgia (3-1) has tiebreakers over Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Missouri. Their loss is to South Carolina.
-Kentucky (2-1) has tiebreakers over Vanderbilt and South Carolina. Their loss was to Florida.
Needs help:
-Missouri (1-1) needs a Georgia loss, but has a tiebreaker over South Carolina.
-Florida (2-2) needs a Kentucky loss, but has tiebreakers over Kentucky and Tennessee.
-South Carolina (2-3) owns tiebreakers over Georgia and Vanderbilt. To start with, the Gamecocks need Missouri, Georgia, and Kentucky to each lose 2 games.
Let's start winning first:
-Tennessee (0-2) lost to Georgia and Florida.
-Vanderbilt (0-4) has already lost half of their conference slate.
West
Controls destiny:
-Mississippi State (3-0) owns tiebreakers against LSU, Texas A&M, and Auburn.
-Ole Miss (3-0) owns a tiebreaker over Alabama and Texas A&M.
Needs help:
-Auburn (2-1) needs 2 Mississippi State losses, but has tiebreakers over Arkansas and LSU.
-Texas A&M (2-2) needs three Mississippi State losses, but has a tiebreaker over Arkansas.
-Alabama (2-1) needs 2 Ole Miss losses, but has a tiebreaker over Arkansas.
Let's start winning first:
-LSU (1-2) lost to Auburn and Mississippi State. They did beat Florida, but a cross divisional win doesn't help much at this point.
-Arkansas (0-3) lost to Auburn, Texas A&M, and Alabama.
