Week 6 wrap-up: The number conferences

The conferences with numbers in their name don't have as many convoluted scenarios as the ACC and SEC, mainly due to later scheduled conference games.  Although, the Pac-12 seems to be wanting to come up with their own Wheel of Destiny, as everyone is slowly beating everyone else.

B1G
East
Controls destiny:
-Ohio State (1-0) has a tiebreaker over Maryland.
-Michigan State (1-0) has a cross divisional win.

Needs help:
-Maryland (1-1) needs two Ohio State losses, but has a tiebreaker over Indiana.
-Penn State (1-1) has a tiebreaker over Rutgers and a cross divisional loss.
-Rutgers (1-1) needs a Penn State loss, but has a tiebreaker over Michigan.
-Indiana (0-1) needs a Maryland loss.
-Michigan (0-2) needs a Rutgers loss.  (Actually, they might need an administrative change.)

West
Controls destiny:
-Iowa (1-0) has a tiebreaker over Purdue.
-Northwestern (2-0) has a tiebreaker over Wisconsin.
-Minnesota (1-0) has a cross-divisional win.
-Nebraska (1-1) has a tiebreaker over Illinois.

Needs help:
-Purdue (1-1) needs two Iowa losses, but has a tiebreaker over Illinois.
-Wisconsin (0-1) needs two Northwestern losses.
-Illinois (0-2) needs two Nebraska losses and two Purdue losses, and then some.

Bowl eligible: none
One win away: Rutgers, Nebraska
Two wins away: Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Maryland, Iowa, Minnesota

Pac-12
North
Controls destiny:
-Oregon (1-1) has a tiebreaker against Washington State.
-Stanford (1-1) has tiebreaker over Washington.
-California (2-1) has a tiebreaker against Washington State.
-Oregon State (1-1) has only played cross divisional games.

Needs help:
-Washington (0-1) needs a Stanford loss.
-Washington State (1-2) needs 2 Oregon losses and 2 Cal losses.

South
Controls destiny:
-Arizona (2-0) has cross-divisional wins.
-Utah (1-1) has a tiebreaker over UCLA.

Needs help:
-USC (2-1) needs an Arizona State loss.
-UCLA (1-1) needs a Utah loss, but has a tiebreaker over Arizona State.
-Arizona State (2-1) needs a UCLA loss, but has a tiebreaker over Colorado and USC.
-Colorado (0-3) needs 2 Arizona State losses and 2 UCLA losses, and then some.

Most of the chaos in the Pac-12 has been cross-divisional so far.

Bowl eligible:  none
One win away:  Arizona
Two wins away:  California, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Arizona State, Utah, UCLA

The Big 12 doesn't have divisions, so they just play round robin.

Controls destiny:
-TCU (1-0) has a tiebreaker over Oklahoma.
-Kansas State (2-0) has tiebreakers over Iowa State and Texas Tech.
-Baylor (2-0) has tiebreakers over Iowa State and Texas.
-Oklahoma State (2-0) has tiebreakers over Texas Tech and Iowa State.

Needs help:
-Oklahoma (1-1) needs 2 TCU losses, but has a tiebreaker over West Virginia.
-Texas (1-1) needs two Baylor losses, but has a tiebreaker over Kansas.
-West Virginia (1-1) needs an Oklahoma loss, but has a tiebreaker over Kansas

Just start winning:
-Kansas (0-2) has lost to Texas and West Virginia.
-Texas Tech (0-2) has lost to Oklahoma State and Kansas State.
-Iowa State (0-3) has lost to Kansas State, Baylor, and Oklahoma State.

If TCU, Oklahoma, and West Virginia all win out, then they would be in a three way tie at 8-1, but 1-1 against each other, invoking the tiebreakers.

If Texas wins out, there are three main possibilities:  they would still be behind an undefeated Baylor; they would be in a two way tie with 8-1 Baylor (and lose); or they would be in a three way tie with 8-1 Baylor and either TCU, K-State, or Oklahoma State (invoking tiebreakers).

Bowl eligible:  none
One win away:  Baylor
Two wins away:  Oklahoma State, Kansas State, TCU, Oklahoma
