The number conferences: Week 7

Somehow, these three conferences have yet to get to the meat of their schedule.


B1G
East
Controls destiny:
-Ohio State (1-0) has a tiebreaker over Maryland.
-Michigan State (2-0) has cross divisional wins.
-Rutgers (1-1) has a tiebreaker over Michigan.  They lost to Penn State.

Needs help:
-Maryland (1-1) needs two Ohio State losses, but has a tiebreaker over Indiana.
-Michigan (1-2) needs a Rutgers loss, but has a tiebreaker against Penn State.
-Penn State (1-2) has a loss to Michigan, and a tiebreaker over Rutgers.

Just start winning:
-Indiana (0-2) lost to Maryland.

West
Controls destiny:
-Iowa (2-0) has a tiebreaker over Purdue.
-Minnesota (2-0) has tiebreaker over Northwestern.
-Nebraska (1-1) has a tiebreaker over Illinois.

Needs help:
-Northwestern (2-1) needs 2 Minnesota losses, but has a tiebreaker over Wisconsin.
-Purdue (1-1) needs two Iowa losses, but has a tiebreaker over Illinois.
-Wisconsin (1-1) needs a Northwestern loss, but has a tiebreaker over Illinois.

Just start winning:
-Illinois (0-3) lost to Nebraska, Purdue, and Wisconsin.

Bowl eligible: none
One win away: Rutgers, Nebraska, Michigan State, Iowa, Minnesota
Two wins away: Ohio State, Penn State, Maryland, Wisconsin

Pac-12
North
Controls destiny:
-Oregon (2-1) has a tiebreaker against Washington State.
-Stanford (2-1) has tiebreaker over Washington and Washington State.
-Oregon State (1-1) has only played cross divisional games.

Needs help:
-Washington (1-1) needs a Stanford loss but has a tiebreaker over Cal.
-California (2-2) needs a Washington loss but has a tiebreaker against Washington State.

Just start winning:
-Washington State (1-3) lost to Oregon, Cal, and Stanford.  Their lone win is cross divisional.

South
Controls destiny:
-Utah (1-1) has a tiebreaker over UCLA.
-Arizona State (2-1) has a tiebreaker over Colorado and USC.  They lost to UCLA.

Needs help:
-USC (3-1) needs an Arizona State loss.
-Arizona (2-1) needs a USC loss.
-UCLA (1-2) needs a Utah loss, but has a tiebreaker over Arizona State.

Just start winning:
-Colorado (0-3) lost to Arizona State.

This is probably the most complicated conference.  With no undefeated teams in conference play, they're starting to get a round robin of losses.  The Pac-12 also seems to place their cross divisional games in the early part of the season, which is keeping the races tight.

Two wins away:  California, Oregon State, Arizona State, Utah, UCLA, Stanford, USC
Two losses away from no bowl:  Washington State

Big 12
Controls destiny:
-Baylor (3-0) has tiebreakers over Iowa State, Texas, and TCU.
-Oklahoma State (3-0) has tiebreakers over Texas Tech, Iowa State, and Kansas.
-Kansas State (2-0) has tiebreakers over Iowa State and Texas Tech.

Needs help:
-Oklahoma (2-1) needs a TCU loss, but has tiebreakers over West Virginia and Texas.
-West Virginia (2-1) needs an Oklahoma loss, but has a tiebreaker over Kansas and Texas Tech.
-TCU (1-1) needs 2 Baylor losses, but has a tiebreaker over Oklahoma.
-Texas (1-2) has a tiebreaker over Kansas, but lost to Baylor and Oklahoma.

Just start winning:
-Kansas (0-3) has lost to Texas, West Virginia, and Oklahoma State.
-Texas Tech (0-3) has lost to Oklahoma State, Kansas State, and West Virginia.
-Iowa State (0-3) has lost to Kansas State, Baylor, and Oklahoma State.
